"I CANNOT BE WITH YOU AS YOUR BOYFRIEND BUT THAT DOESNT MEAN I DONT LOVE YOU"

heard of the movie Love of Siam?. apparently this movie is a bumper hit in Thailand in 2007.

Bear recommended this movie and ive just finished watching it. my two cents worth on this movie, id say this a sincere attempt without sugar coating or exaggerating.

i did not go to the depression mode i was in while i watched Permanent Residence. Most probably because i didnt let myself become too emotionally involved with this movie OR .....

this movie did not manage to open the door of depression for me as much as it did for bear. anyways,

its a story about two teenager falling in love before they knew what love is. mix it with some sexuality confusion, threat from mother, her fears, facing the friends and society....then we get this movie that has managed to catch the attention and affection of millions of people worldwide.

Love of Siam left me feeling a sense of longing for a true meaningful friendship of not anything else ... a best friend who writes beautiful songs and dedicating it for me...

ok ok its time to WAKE WAKE UP!!!!but i think at some level everybody wants that special relationship with someone...

some choose to call it friendship, some call it girlfriend, boyfriend, mother, father, sister...name it...its the sense of belonging that everybody seeks from these relationships..

Love of Siam managed to say in a subtle way to let go of the person we sincerely care and cherish for the sake of his happiness.... letting go is not an easy message to deliver.....

the lead actor in this movie, Mario Maurer is a true eye candy. he managed to capture the essence of the character that at times we tend to forget that we are watching a movie.
this a movie that celebrates the relationship between two person transcending the boundaries of sexual orientation, and perception of society. while it didnt make me suicidal, i really believe it would change the perception of human relationship. so watch it for yourself and be your own judge.

little bit about Mario (extracted frm Wikipedia):
